Green Waste Equipment for Sale
Both these items are from Brighton Community Composting Centre:
Windrow Turner
It was bought in Jan 2006
It cost £ 13,500 + vat
It is selling at £ 8,500 ono
Delivery can be arranged
Its in v/good condition. You can see the tidy results on the picture.(167KB)
It makes finished products much quicker (less than 3 months) than turning by tractor/digger.
We are expanding now and need a larger machine. It has worked very well for us over the last couple of years.
Zago green waste shredder in good condition
(Not to be confused with the lighter weight and more fragile Seko).
Its tractor driven from the pto (requiring 80hp or above).
We've had it about a year and it has shredded over 600 tonnes.
It will chop softwood of up to 7-8 inches diameter and easily handles palettes etc.
It comes with a new bucket grab and a full set of replacement blades (worth over £1000).
It has its own a crane arm for loading.
It is easily towable by tractor from various sites and is suitable for contract work with local authorities etc.

The reason we are selling it is that we are now taking in far more tonnes and much bigger material.

Dincerto Certified Biodegradable Kitchen Waste Bags
A number of members have clubbed together to bulk buy kitchen waste bags. The bags are made from maize starch, which is non-toxic and biodegrades harmlessly and completely under standard composting conditions, meeting stringent requirements laid down by European Quality Standard EN 13432.
