Do you want the opportunity to make a living growing food in an urban environment?  Do you want to increase the amount of organic food grown in the inner city? Growing Communities are looking for an experienced and talented food grower - who is also a creative and strategic project manager – to run the Growing Communities’ urban market gardens - a key element of their pioneering community-led social enterprise.

Growing Communities is run by local people, working to transform food and farming through community-led trade and to provide people with practical alternatives to the damaging food system that currently exists.

Grower £ 23,736 pro rata for 4.5 days a week (33.75 hours).  (Plus discounted fruit/veg bag). Due to seasonal nature of the work, the post operates on an ‘Annual hours’ basis.  More details in Job Pack.  Fixed-term contract (2.4 years) from October 2011 to the end of March 2014.
