Compost Awareness Week in York

Saturday 1st May 2pm – Wormcharming the Playing Fields at
Friends of St Nicholas Fields
, Rawdon Avenue, York, YO10 3ST. Come along
and take part in our annual competition. The team charming the most
worms will win a wormery. Plots will be allocated on a first come first
served basis so please arrive early.

Sunday 2nd May 9.30am – 2.30 – Compost Giveaway at Harewood Whinn. City of York Council are giving away free compost.

Sunday 2nd May 11am – 3pm – Information Stall at Deans Garden
Centre,
Stockton Lane, Stockton on the Forest, York YO32 9UE. Pop along
for free friendly home composting advice

Thursday 6th May 2 – 7.30pm - Compost Information Stall -
Information Stall at Morrisons, Foss Islands Road, York

Saturday 8th May 2pm – Compost ! (the mini-musical) at York Environment Centre, Friends of St Nicholas Fields, Rawdon Avenue, York, YO10 3ST. Heworth Cubs will be performing the musical as part of the Environment Centres 10th Birthday celebrations.
