Community Composting is often perceived as only the composting of garden waste, on a small scale, with a voluntary workforce and minimal technical input. There is nothing wrong with this basic model of local management of compostable wastes, however the perception, that this is all Community Composting can be, is wrong. This section is intended to challenge that perception, and generate ideas and opportunities by showcasing projects which go beyond that basic model. More case studies covering a range of different projects of varying scales will be added in the near future.
